Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) Results
The CCSSE benchmarks are groups of conceptually related survey items that address key areas of student engagement. The five benchmarks denote areas that educational research has shown to be important to students’ college experiences and educational outcomes.
The Iowa Lakes Community College raw benchmark scores increased in all five areas from 2013 to 2015.
16.4: Transfer student retention, persistent, completion, and success rates will exceed the average transfer student retention, persistence, completion, and success rates of peer institutions.
Transfer Student Retention
Retention for Iowa Lakes Community College students (Average of 2009-2013 Cohorts) 1 year after transferring to an Iowa Regent University is 82%. This is greater than or equal to the average retention rate of 12 of the Iowa Community Colleges. (Transfer Report provided by the State of Iowa Board of Regents)
