Iowa Lakes students exhibit projects at Pearson Lakes Art Center
Art exhibits created by Iowa Lakes Community College students will be on display at the Pearson Lakes Art Center, Okoboji, later this month.
The exhibit opens on Wednesday, April 26. An Open House Reception will be held on Thursday, April 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.
“Students in our art-related classes have a tremendous amount of creativity and this is an outstanding opportunity for them,” said Dave Petrick, Photography Instructor at Iowa Lakes. “Not only do they get to show off their talents, but they also get a taste of how to prepare for an art show,” Petrick added.
Students taking Photography classes at Iowa Lakes will have their assignments on display again this year.
On display will be black and white (film) photography, digital photography, paintings and graphic design artwork.
Iowa Lakes has a diploma and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in its Graphic Design program, a Digital, Social and Broadcast Productions A.A.S. program; a Photography diploma program; and offers a number of general education courses in art and photography.
Instructors include: Byron Lindell, Art Professor; Debbie Wilson, Graphic Design Associate Professor; and Dave Petrick, Instructor of Photography.
The public is invited to attend the reception on Thursday, April 27, or visit the exhibit which will be on display from April 26 through May 20.
