Mid-America Music Association of Iowa Scholarship Established and Awarded at Iowa Lakes
Iowa Lakes Community College has announced the establishment of the Mid-America Music Association of Iowa – “MAMA” – Scholarship.
The Mid-America Music Association of Iowa promotes music and music appreciation throughout the entire Midwest in conjunction with other MAMA chapters. Proceeds from their events are donated to local charities involved in music.
Iowa Lakes Music Department is honored to be chosen to receive this commitment from MAMA.
“We really appreciate all of the hard work that MAMA has put into their fundraiser for the Music Department. The Iowa Lakes students will really benefit from the addition of this music scholarship,” said Brett Fuelberth, Vocal Music Professor.
Music participation students are eligible for $500 scholarships awarded in the fall to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Recipients for 2016-17 are: Jared Clay of Britt and Martin Eckard of Victoria, B.C.
For the upcoming 2017-18 academic year, candidates must complete the Iowa Lakes online scholarship application, actively participate in the music program and be enrolled as a full-time student at Iowa Lakes.
