How did your time at Iowa Lakes prepare you for your career and further education? The substance abuse program really taught me how to use the ASAM six dimensions. ASAM's treatment criteria provide separate placement criteria for adolescents and adults to create comprehensive and individualized treatment plans. This program really helped me explore my passion for helping those who suffer from the disease of addiction.
