7 Summit Pathways Scholarship for Recovering Addicts
Amount: $1,000
Deadline for Applications: February 15th
Class Standing:  Be accepted into an accredited post-secondary school
Requirements:  Submit an essay on one of the essay topics; Applicants must submit a copy of their transcript and complete online application;  Be recovering from alcohol and/or illicit drug addiction

2017 Future of Assisted Living Scholarship, the premier ratings and reviews site for senior services providers nationwide, is proud to announce our fourth annual scholarship for advancement in higher education. This is a general scholarship which will award each of the selected applicants with a scholarship award of $2,000. This scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) during the academic year.

The annual scholarship award is for three (3) students enrolled in an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program at an accredited 2-year college or 4-year university during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Applicants must include a 250-word maximum introductory bio with their 500-750 word essay and sign the Scholarship Award Agreement.

A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to three (3) individual students who write the most compelling essay as judged by staff.

Addiction Awareness Scholarship is offering $10,000 in scholarships this semester to three students who share their views on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.

The founder of created the site a few years ago after struggling with addiction during his college years. His idea was to create a platform where people could find information about addiction and treatment through modalities to locate the appropriate fit.

The Opportunity Grant helps pay tuition and other school-related expenses for students who have aged out of Iowa’s foster care system and students adopted after their 16th birthday. For more information on this scholarship visit

Alert1 Student for Seniors Scholarship

Alert1 is offering a $250 scholarship to a student attending an accredited U.S. college or university who wants to help seniors. To apply for this scholarship, follow the instructions below. Submit the online application form at and answer the following three questions (under 300 words each):
1.    What is your experience with seniors?
2.    What is the most important lesson you’ve learned from seniors?
3.    How will you help seniors in your chosen career?

Scholarship Eligibility 
For students attending an accredited college or university in the United States. This scholarship is open to high school students who will be attending an accredited college or university in Spring 2018.

•    Students must be considered a U.S. citizen.
•    Students must follow all instructions and agree to Alert1’s Student for Seniors Scholarship Agreement. 
•    Students must submit and complete the application form by January 10th, 2019 11:59 PM PST. No exceptions will be made for applicants after the deadline.

Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships 
The University of the Aftermarket Foundation operates the Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships Central Website and, along with more than 40 other automotive organizations and donors, awards scholarships to students who apply online at In 2017, more than $400,000 in scholarships were awarded to more than 300 students.
Available scholarships range from $1,000-$10,000 and will be awarded to students attending colleges and ASE/NATEF certified post-secondary Automotive, Collision, HD, or Alternate Fuel programs. Completed applications must be submitted by 3/31/2018.

The scholarships are open to full time post-secondary students. Graduating high school seniors and former recipients are welcome to apply. Each completed scholarship application is reviewed by the organizations where the students meets the qualifications. Last year, more than 50 students received multiple awards from one application.

The application review begins in April. Recipients will be notified by each organization so that awarded scholarships will be available for summer or fall 2018 terms. Over the past 20 years, more than 2,500 scholarships have been awarded to students planning careers in the automotive industry.

Avomeen is an independent analytical and chemical testing laboratory. Their chemist specializes in analyzing and developing both consumer and industrial products. The Avomeen scholarship program is part of Avomeen’s effort to help those who demonstrate high academic achievement, exceptional leadership qualities and involvement with community service defray the costs of obtaining their science education. For persons living in the Spencer area pursuing an education in a health related field. Applicants must have completed at least one semester. More information may be found at Sleep Scholarship
At, we value education highly and want to give back to our community at large. We are also passionate about promoting sleep awareness and created this scholarship to both help further that cause and to help students pay for the increasing costs of higher education. This scholarship is intended to be used for tuition during the 2018-19 school year.

Are you caring for an adult relative while enrolled in a U.S. college or university? When you're living with your aging loved one, managing their finances because they no longer can, taking them to doctor’s appointments -- we know that caregiving can be both difficult and rewarding. As America’s leading senior care resource for family caregivers, we know that juggling the responsibilities of caregiving and student life is a unique challenge.

Award is offering two $1,500 scholarships to two students attending an accredited U.S. college or university and caring for a loved one.
How to Apply
We're looking for a 1500-word essay or 2-minute video addressing the following questions:

  1. Who are you caring for and how are you involved as their caregiver?
  2. How has your role as a caregiver influenced the decision for your major/career path?
  3. How would this scholarship be helpful to you in your current student-caregiving role?

Des Moines Chapter of the Mothers of Multiples organization
The Des Moines Chapter of the Mothers of Multiples organization is sponsoring one $500 scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year for Iowa's multiple birth students pursuing enrollment or currently enrolled in a college, university, trade or vocational school. Easy Automation Inc. Bruce Larson Memorial Scholarship
Bruce P. Larson was a long-time employee of Easy Automation Inc.  In his over twenty years of service to EAI, Bruce was instrumental in developing the electrical/controls department at EAI.

Bruce lost his battle with cancer on May 3, 2015.  In honor of his commitment to excellence, EAI is providing a $1000 scholarship to a student pursuing a degree in a program from his career area.
Purpose of the Scholarship:
To provide financial assistance to a student with an interest in pursuing continuing education in the field of electrical controls or electrical engineering.
Students who meet the following criteria are eligible for the scholarship.  The candidate:

  • is a citizen of the United States of America
  • has a minimum grade point average of 2.8 
  • plans to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at a two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire 2018-2019 academic year in a career field related to the areas of electrical controls or electrical engineering 
  • must submit application and all required materials by deadline date

Application Process:
Application materials must be received by April 1, 2018 in order to be considered.  The following materials should be submitted:

  • Completed application form
  • One page typed (double spaced) essay outlining student’s career goals and how they plan to use controls/electrical engineering to impact people in a positive way.
  • Official copy of transcript documenting G.P.A.
  • One letter of reference or recommendation from a teacher, coach, mentor, or other adult that is not an immediate relative
  • Letter of Acceptance or some form of verification of acceptance to a two or four-year academic program for the 2018-2019 academic year

One $1000 scholarship to cover tuition, books, and supplies will be awarded each year.   Award is not renewable, but students may reapply for the award each year they meet the eligibility requirements.  Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Notification to Recipient:
Scholarship recipient will be notified by May 1, 2018.  The recipient must submit a college transcript after the first semester of the 2018-2019 academic year showing successful completion of the first semester classes. This will also confirm that the recipient was a full-time student that maintained a G.P.A of 2.8 during that semester. Once this documentation has been received by EAI, a check will be made out and mailed to the academic institution.  The recipient will be responsible for providing EAI with the correct mailing information to their institution.

Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Degrees
Undergraduate Academic Award  A $500 academic award given to a student pursuing any associate or bachelor degree program emphasizing Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement. Areas of study that will be considered include Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, Sociology with Law/Criminal emphasis, Corrections, Computer Forensics, and Forensic Psychology, among others.

Liberal Arts and General Studies Degrees
Undergraduate Academic Award  A $500 academic award given to a student pursuing an associate or bachelor degree program emphasizing Liberal Arts, General Studies, or Humanities. 

Architecture and Drafting Degrees
Undergraduate Academic Award  A $500 academic award given to a student pursuing an associate or bachelor degree program emphasizing Architecture, Architectural Drafting or Design, or Architectural Engineering. 

Undergraduate Distance Learning Degrees
Academic Award  A $500 academic award given to a student pursuing a distance learning associate or bachelor degree program. Available to all part-time or full-time undergraduate students completing an online degree program.

Everspark Autism Awareness Scholarship
Requirements include the applicants must submit a video essay no longer than 2 minutes OR a written essay no longer than 1,000 words on one topic, been diagnosed with autism of any form OR are studying autism-related research at a university. Minimum GPA is 2.6 and award amount is $1,000.

Application deadline is August 30. 

Exact Data “See the World” Scholarship
The Exact Data See the World Scholarship is a yearly, recurring, non-need-based award of $1,000 given to 1 student each year who wishes to travel outside the US — locations including Europe, Africa, Asia, or South America. The award will be sent via check. Preference will be given to students who will be active in work study or volunteer programs.

Friends of Kossuth Youth & 4-H
For second college students. Friends of Kossuth Youth & 4-H are offering a Leadership and Citizenship Excellence Award. Available to anyone attending a college or university in Iowa or a boarding state who will be considered a fulltime student next academic year and has completed one year of college. The recipient must be a Kossuth County residence. Further requirements are listed on the application.

Good Samaritan Society- Jackson Scholarship and Loan Repayment Program

Karman Mobility Disability Scholarship
Karman Healthcare is proud to announce that we will be providing college and university students with a scholarship opportunity to help them reach their ultimate goals in life.
We will be offering two $500 scholarships for currently enrolled students that meet the requirements.

This scholarship applies to students who have a mobility disability, excelled academically and those who have a regard for disability awareness in America.

The Kitchen Professor Scholarship
The Kitchen Professor’s scholarship program is intended to help future leaders of the foodservice and hospitality industries achieve their potential. ‘KidGuard for Education’ Essay Scholarship
At KidGuard, we are passionate about online safety. The ‘KidGuard for Education’ Essay Scholarship is part of KidGuard’s effort to bring awareness and inspire solutions on issues such as cyberbullying, online predators, teen suicide and childhood depression in the age of technology. Mark and Carol Schuller Memorial Scholarship
One-year scholarships for employees of the Palo Alto County Health System who are pursuing a healthcare related degree at an accredited university, junior college, or trade school, and who demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. How to apply: 
The online application is a “common application,” meaning that students can complete the one application and then be automatically matched to any other scholarship for which they are eligible. Please alert the Palo Alto County Health System employees that the application is really geared for high school seniors, so they should do their best in answering questions that might not seem relevant.  On the plus side, there may be an additional scholarship for which they may qualify, so that’s a plus! Masonry Institute of Iowa Scholarship Opportunity
Annually the Masonry Institute of Iowa offers scholarships to all HS seniors and college students that are in/going into the construction/architectural/engineering/masonry fields at an Iowa institution of higher learning.  The 2018 scholarship program has been announced.

Mattress Help Scholarship is pleased to announce our annual Sleep Health Scholarship. Each student who is awarded our scholarship will be given $1,000 towards their university or college fees.

My Best Hosting Review
My Best Hosting Review is proud to award $3,000 to one student each semester to students showing academic promise. The purpose of this scholarship is to offer financial assistance to college students without the necessary financial means, but with the appropriate amount of determination to go to a college that can change their path in life for the better.

  • Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year university, community college or junior college, or a graduate degree program.
  • This scholarship is offered nationwide to United States citizens.
  • Students must be in academic “Good Standing” and have a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible.

How to Submit
Applicants must submit an essay of 300 to 700 words. This essay needs to include why you want to graduate from college, what you plan on doing with your degree, and why you’re unable to afford college without this scholarship. Also, please discuss difficult situations you have overcome, any honors you have received, and any special projects you have worked on (successfully or not).

General requirements:

  • Must be attending classes in the Fall 2018 semester

This scholarship is being ran ongoing twice a year with one due date on 1/1 and the other on 8/1 of every year going forward.

P.E.O. Chapter PA Scholarship
A local P.E.O. Chapter PA Scholarship has been established to benefit area women in the pursuit of their higher education.

The local chapter, PA, was established in 2005 and offers this scholarship opportunity to a graduating high school senior woman or a woman currently enrolled in an institution of higher education who previously graduated from a Dickinson County school district.  Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing at their current school.  High consideration will be given to applicants demonstrating positive character and a commitment to community service.  Applicants should indicate in their personal summary any honors, special recognitions and extracurricular involvement they have had while attending school.  Applicants may reapply yearly. For an application click here.

Providian Medical Scholarship

Providian Medical, a  leading company in the sales and service of new and refurbished ultrasound, MRI, and CT medical equipment, is pleased to announce its first annual “Providian Medical Scholarship.” At Providian Medical, we believe that education is key for anyone preparing to enter the workplace and embark on a career. To that end, we hope to play a small part in helping students achieve their educational goals with this bi-annual $500 scholarship.

Pureland Supply Vocational and Skilled Trade Scholarship
Scholarship Description: Pureland Supply sells high quality replacement projector lamps to various Universities, schools, and government entities. We understand the importance of skilled trades in our society and appreciate those who learn and perform specific occupational trades.

The $1,000 Pureland Supply Scholarship is open for students who have been accepted to an accredited community college, technical school, or trade school. Recipients are chosen on their ability to describe how their chosen trade or field plays an important role in today’s world and how the student expects to play a part in the future of their trade or field.

Established to assist persons interested in entering the nursing or an allied health profession.  This fund is designed to be a self-perpetuating loan fund, not a scholarship fund.  It is expected that a recipient repay the loan in a timely fashion.  More information may be found at

Save The Air Scholarship 
The opening application for our traditionally organized scholarship “Save the Air Scholarship” is now on. We are inviting your students to apply for the scholarship by writing an 850-word essay.
With our annual scholarship, we want to award a prize to a students interested in an HVAC degree or Mechanical Engineering Degree. Applicants should write about this year’s essay topic, “What can we do to live in less polluted surroundings.” We want your students to think about the possible options we can have in each state in the world, make your own list and examples and let’s make the air more breathable! We are offering a $2,000 scholarship to an eligible student who has been a caregiver for a senior friend or relative. One student, who will be attending college or university in the Fall of 2018, will receive $2,000 for tuition and/or books.

Who can apply: current students enrolled in a two-year school in the Transfer Times distribution area (Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin)
Description: Transfer Times awards two $6000 scholarships per academic year to a two-year student who is transferring to a four-year school that advertises in Transfer Times. Winners are selected at random. See online entry form for complete contest rules.

Travel Nursing Career Scholarship is excited to offer a $1,000 Nursing Career Scholarship to help nurses advance their career and reach their professional goals.

ZipRecruiter is offering a $3,000 scholarship to the winning college or university student with the most creative entry in our Autumn 2017 Scholarship Promotion.
We are looking for one page submissions that are creative, with use of visual media was well as text, describing a student's ideal internship.
