Addiction Awareness Scholarship
RehabCenter.net is offering $10,000 in scholarships this semester to three students who share their views on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
The founder of RehabCenter.net created the site a few years ago after struggling with addiction during his college years. His idea was to create a platform where people could find information about addiction and treatment through modalities to locate the appropriate fit.

ALL IOWA OPPORTUNITY FOSTER CARE

Carver Statewide Scholarship Program
Since the Carver Scholars program’s inception in 1988, the Trust has distributed over $24 million in awards to more than 4,500 individuals for their junior and senior years of study at one of Iowa’s public or private colleges and universities supported by the initiative. The program centers on providing substantial scholarships to students who struggle to overcome significant social and economic obstacles in the pursuit of their education or whose circumstances may not normally be taken into account by other financial aid programs. Everspark Autism Awareness Scholarship
Requirements include the applicants must submit a video essay no longer than 2 minutes OR a written essay no longer than 1,000 words on one topic, been diagnosed with autism of any form OR are studying autism-related research at a university. Minimum GPA is 2.6 and award amount is $1,000.

The Future of Nursing Essay Contest

Good Samaritan Society- Jackson Scholarship and Loan Repayment Program
Minnesota Department of Human Services has expanded the DHS Nursing Facility Scholarship Program for participating nursing facilities in Minnesota. The scholarship covers ALL eligible expenses related to the education at 100%. Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education Scholarships
- Applicants must be committed to the pursuit of automotive-related studies, such as technician training, body shop/collision repair, diesel, new vehicles sales, parts sales, accounting, or business administration.
- Applications are due at IADA headquarters by 5 p.m. on March 1.
- Applicants must submit the following to be considered for a scholarship:
- A letter written by the applicant detailing their career goals and interest in pursuing an automotive career.
- An application signed by the president or general manager of an IADA member dealership.
- A recommendation from a high school or college teacher, counselor, or co-worker.
- An unofficial transcript of high school or college grades.
- A copy of the applicant’s Expected Family Contribution from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Excluded from consideration are immediate family members (first generation) of a car or truck dealership owner. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to attend an Iowa college or university. Scholarships may be awarded, in part, on financial need. Prior scholarship recipients who have 2.5 GPA may re-apply.

Iowa Hospital Association (IHA)
The Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) is proud to support the Health Care Careers Scholarship program. Available through the Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation (IHERF), an IHA subsidiary, these scholarships of up to $7,000 ($3,500 per year for a maximum of two years) each have supported higher education for more than 450 Iowa college students.
The ultimate goal of this program is to fill Iowa health care positions that currently have a notable number of openings by offering significant financial support to students seeking health care education or training. In exchange for that financial support, each award recipient must commit to working one year in an Iowa hospital for each year of scholarship award.
The 2019 IHERF scholarship application process launches on December 1, all portions of the application form must be submitted by March 30, 2019.
All applications will be submitted online at the IHERF scholarship website www.iowahospitalscholarships.org which will help students confirm their scholarship eligibility before beginning the application process. This will allow for electronic submission of their application, college program verification and references.
IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are available for students planning on transferring to Iowa State University after completion of studies at Iowa Lakes Community College. Please visit their Financial Aid Website: www.financialaid.iastate.edu.
The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) at Iowa State University has an online scholarship application called FinAidScholar. The FinAidScholar application is a single application for all scholarships administered through the OSFA.

JACK KENT COOKE FOUNDATION UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER
Interested students must visit the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Website at www.jkcf.org to determine eligibility to apply for this scholarship. James B. Morris Scholarship Fund

The Criteria necessary to apply for the scholarship is applicants must be of minority ethnic status defined by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and have a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. All applicants must be U.S. citizens and provide a social security number as well as being: 1.) Iowa High School graduates and residents of Iowa who are attending any U.S. college or university; 2.) Non-Iowa residents who are attending Iowa colleges or universities.

Karman Mobility Disability Scholarship
Karman Healthcare is proud to announce that we will be providing college and university students with a scholarship opportunity to help them reach their ultimate goals in life.
We will be offering two $500 scholarships for currently enrolled students that meet the requirements.
This scholarship applies to students who have a mobility disability, excelled academically and those who have a regard for disability awareness in America.
