Powersports & Power Equipment Technology

Powersports & Power Equipment Technology

The Powersports & Power Equipment Technology program is designed to prepare you for employment in the repair of lawn and garden equipment, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, all-terrain vehicles and both American and foreign motorcycles.

Employment opportunities after graduation may include dealership technician, service manager, parts, sales, business owner, and performance shop technician. Starting salaries range from $20,000 to $36,000.

Today’s technicians need: increasingly good mechanical aptitude; the ability to read and comprehend service literature; the ability to understand and perform a variety of increasingly technical diagnostic procedures; and the ability to work with fellow employees and, most of all, customers.

A diploma can be earned after the first year. After completion of a second year you earn an Associate in Applied Science degree.

Your instructor can provide you with more information.
