Career guidance and assessments are available to all students and
community members at each Iowa Lakes Community College site. Career Development Services
provides convenient access to resources and services that help you make an informed career
choice.
Career professionals help clarify and analyze your professional and
vocational interests, research a wide range of careers, and help you identify careers that
maximize your individual interests and strengths.
- Assessment. Standardized assessment instruments are
available to identify interest areas. The Career Assessment Inventory, Strong Interest
Inventory, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator are some of the tools used to help identify
careers.
- Job Search Resources.
Individual assistance is
provided in developing job search skills and resume preparation.
- Employment. Information is available regarding the
occupational demand for areas of interest and labor market conditions. Area businesses
send employment opportunities that are posted at each college location.
- Counseling.
Iowa Lakes Community College provides
support and referral for educational, vocational, personal and career guidance needs. Contact the Iowa Lakes center or
