Associate of Arts (AA) degree
Courses in an AA degree are evaluated on a course-by-course basis and
applied to the requirements at the University of South Dakota. The AA degree may not meet
the general education requirements at USD.
Individual Courses
A course-by-course guide is available indicating how Iowa Lakes
Community College courses are accepted at the University of South Dakota. This is
available in an advisor or counselor office at Iowa Lakes Community College.

Calculator."

It is important to use the course guide in planning to meet the general education
requirements in order to match the USD courses.

The mathematics requirement at USD:
The Bachelor of Arts requires 7 credits and the Bachelor of Science
requires 11 hours of math. Elem. Alg. (MAT100) and Math for G.E. (MAT110) are
not accepted
for meeting the math requirement. Intermediate Algebra (MAT102) is only accepted if
taken with College Algebra (MAT120).

The science requirement at USD is a sequence of courses. For example, at Iowa Lakes
taking Biol. I and II or Phys Sci. I and II would meet the requirement.
