Associate of Arts (AA) degree
Students who plan to enter the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University with an AA degree from Iowa Lakes will be considered to have met the general education requirements of the college (with the possible exception of the foreign language and library requirements).

Individual Courses
Each course will be evaluated and compared to an equivalency guide prepared by Iowa State and located on the
University website. For those students planning to transfer without an AA degree, a guide sheet is available in an advisor or counselor office at Iowa Lakes. For students planning to transfer to other colleges at Iowa State, guides are available for planning course selection at Iowa Lakes. See an Iowa Lakes advisor or counselor for these guides.

Vocational-Technical credit from Iowa Lakes will be accepted by Iowa State. The maximum number of vocational-technical credits accepted is sixteen.

Students planning to transfer to the College of Engineering or College of Business can check the Transfer Planning by Major web page for specific course recommendations at Iowa Lakes Community College.
