Associate of Arts (AA) degree
Since Fall 1999 students who graduate from an Iowa community college with an AA degree
receive credit for the Grand View College general education requirements.
Individual Courses
Grand View will evaluate courses on an individual basis if an earned AA degree is not
transferred. The general education requirements at Grand View are listed in a guide found
in an advisor or counselor office at Iowa Lakes.
Bachelor’s degree
To graduate from Grand View College, a transfer student with an AA degree will be
required to complete the following:
Requirements of a major

One course which meets the Grand View College requirement related to an understanding of
the spiritual dimension of human existence,

An integrating seminar, and
-
Additional electives for a total of 124
semester hours for the bachelor’s degree (130 hours for the
education major)
