Degrees, Diplomas & Certificates

Iowa Lakes Community College awards a variety of degrees, diplomas and certificates.

To be eligible for a degree or diploma in a credit program, you must successfully complete the last 15 credits before graduation in courses you take at Iowa Lakes.  

College Credit Degrees Awarded:

Associate in Arts (A.A.) - to graduates of Liberal Arts two-year programs
Associate in Science (A.S.) - to graduates of Career Option two-year Programs
Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) - to graduates of two-year Technical Programs
Diplomas - to graduates of vocational programs of less than two years
Certificates - for completion of certain course sequences and some community and continuing education courses and programs
Other Awards:

Diploma - issued for the Alternative High School and Adult High School completion
Certificate (GED) - issued for completion of Iowa High School Equivalency exams
