PHR-107 Pharmacy Technology I, 7 cr.
Foundation knowledge required for a pharmacy technician is
taught in this course. Topics covered include an orientation to
the pharmacy technician career, pharmacy law and ethics,
relevant medical and pharmaceutical terminology, and
pharmaceutical calculations.

PHR-117 Pharmacy Technician II, 7 cr.
The second pharmacy technician core course includes the study of
pharmacology, learning how to communicate effectively with
clients and co-workers, and insurance filing and inventory
procedures. Brief clinical rotations in a hospital and a retail
pharmacy are required.

cr.
A capstone course to prepare students for entering the job
market and for the certification exam.
