ENV-145 Conservation Biology, 4 cr.
This course examines the ecological principles used in the
preservation of biological diversity. Some topics explored are
population dynamics, conservation genetics, island biogeography,
mathematical modeling of ecological systems, disturbance
ecology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), reserve theory
and wildlife corridors. Labs will involve field work, data
analysis, computer work and research.
