begin dissecting logical structures with a look at PC based
partitions followed by a forensic minded look at the data

An introduction to the technical aspects of digital evidence

floppy disk imaging, data compression and encryption. Students
will receive hands-on training via case study scenarios using

Internet criminal activity will be discussed and students will
perform research on relevant cases and topics.

This course will provide Computer Forensics students with an
introduction to the Linux operating system as a forensic tool
for investigators. Students will be introduced to the Linux
architecture by installing and configuring Red Had Linux 9.0 and

Linux based tools for forensic analysis of computer systems.
