A paralegal is a person, qualified by education, training or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible.

Legal tasks typically performed by a paralegal include:

evaluating cases
conducting client and witness interviews
drafting court pleadings and motions
performing legal research
preparing legal documents, such as contracts, wills, and deeds
managing and organizing case files
helping attorneys prepare for trials and hearings.

The mission of our program is to rigorously prepare future paralegals to provide professional support services to the legal community in a competent, diligent, and ethical manner.
