What is Computer Forensics?
In today's digital age the crime scene has a new component: the computer. In many cases evidence gathered from computers and computer networks has been the key to criminal investigations. Computer forensics involves the identification, preservation, extraction, documentation and interpretation of this digital evidence. In pursuit of an A.S. degree in Criminal Justice, students will receive training in the latest technology and methodology of the modern day cyber sleuth. Topics of forensic investigations covered in this program will include military, law enforcement and business. Students will apply concepts presented in the classroom to hands-on lab exercises utilizing industry standard techniques and software.
