Today people at all levels of society are directing their attention to the needs of young children and their families. Ensuring that children are adequately cared for during work hours is a challenge facing the majority of American parents. The field of child care allows dedicated people the opportunity to work with parents to educate and care for young children.

Graduates of the diploma program may also continue their education to complete the Associate in Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.
