The growing
emphasis on wellness is creating an expanded need for Massage Therapists who
may work in wellness clinics, chiropractic offices, beauty salons or
health spas, as well as in their own business.
Graduates of
this approved program are eligible to take the licensure exam to practice
in the State of Iowa. This curriculum is approved by the Iowa Board of
Examiners for Massage Therapy. The program may be completed in one year
totaling over 700 contact hours of instruction.
Salaries for
Massage Therapists vary depending upon location. Typical charges for
massages range between $25 per half hour and $35-$45 per hour.
