Catalog Course Descriptions

 

Limited radiographers are employed by physician offices, medical clinics, chiropractic offices, specialty offices such as orthopedics and EENT, dental offices and hospitals. Adding this credential to other related health careers significantly enhances your employability. 

Special features of the program include: 

Limited radiology

  • Training to perform x-rays in a medical clinic

  • Perform basic noncontrast radiographic procedures of specified anatomic parts and body regions as allowed
    by state law

  • Multiskilled person

  • Training to complete the required examination to become a Licensed Limited Radiologic Technologist

Part of a medical team

  • Adding this credential enhances your employability

  • Diploma leads into the Medical Assistant program

Leads into other health care programs including Medical Secretary, Surgical Technology,  Radiology Technology (at Iowa Central Community College), and Nursing.
