Recent expansion of gaming in Iowa has created a need for skilled employees for Casinos. Members of the gaming industry train much of their workforce, but employees are often deficient in management skills. The Casino Management program at Iowa Lakes Community College provides you with the critical skill areas of human resources management, business management, marketing and interpersonal communications. It also provides you with an overview of vital technical skills necessary to succeed in gaming management. The Casino Management Associate in Science degree incorporates internships into the curriculum so you have a clear view of the industry and your career opportunities.

Development of the Casino Management program is an important part of Iowa Lakes Community College’s commitment to addressing the needs of local industry partners. The benefits are two-fold. First, this is an educational avenue for students who wish to pursue careers in this rapidly growing industry. Second, it provides industry with a pool of trained managers from which to fill the management positions that are an important part of any growing industry.

The Casino Management program has also established articulation agreements with baccalaureate granting institutions for seamless transfer if you wish to further your education. It is offered face-to-face and online to serve a larger pool of students.
