Iowa Lakes Community College Farm Facts

 

♦ Location:
     Five miles west of Emmetsburg on U.S. Hwy. 18

♦ Total Acreage:
     Approximately 360 acres at the farm site and 40 acres at Emmetsburg Campus.
     Buildings and Miscellaneous:   40 Acres
     Corn, Soybeans and Hay:  Approximately 300 Acres
     *Acre amounts change each year due to rotation of crops and educational projects. 

♦ Livestock:
     Beef:  Approximately 45 Cows
     Mainly Angus and Simmental
     Swine:  Approximately 60 Sows         

♦ Instructors:
