IOWA LAKES FOUNDATION LAUNCHES ANNUAL GIVING PROGRAM
The Iowa Lakes
Community College Foundation has launched the community portion
of their annual giving program entitled "We Believe In Us." This
initiative is the main fundraiser of the foundation that
benefits Iowa Lakes students with scholarships, improvements to
programs and addresses other areas of greatest need.

College traveled to the state capitol recently, and while there,

IOWA LAKES STUDENTS HELPING STUDENTS
Students from the
Iowa Lakes Community College Auto Collision program, along with
instructor Rob Schultz, have donated a child’s pedal car, custom
painted by students, to the Iowa Lakes Community College
Foundation. The pedal car will be placed on silent auction at
the Foundation’s Dickinson County Scholarship Luau on Thursday,
June 7 at Parks Marina’s Barefoot Bar on Lake Okoboji. Proceeds
from this event provide scholarships to students attending Iowa
Lakes Community College.

Community College Head Softball Coach Mike Bosch has announced
three Laker softball recruits for the 2007-2008 softball season.
They include outfielder Donnette (Bubba) Martinez from
Papillion, Neb.; infielder Caitlin Block from Burbank, Calif.;
and infielder Kristina Manser from Granada Hills, Calif.
