HELDT MEMORIAL LAKER GOLF OUTING
BENEFITS STUDENT-ATHLETES
The Iowa Lakes Community College
Foundation held the first ever Linda
Heldt Memorial Laker Scholarship
Golf Outing on July 7 at the
Estherville Golf Course. Formerly
known as the Laker Golf Outing, the
name was changed in memory of Heldt,
long-time Athletics Department
Assistant, who lost a hard fought
battle to cancer earlier this year.

today a partnership to deliver text
messages and audio alerts to
students’ phones during times of
emergency. As students return to
college this fall, they will be
enrolled with Megaphone Campus
Alert™ at no cost to them.

BENEFITS CLAY RESIDENTS
The Iowa Lakes Community College
Foundation held its annual golf
outing on June 15 at the Spencer
Golf & Country Club. One hundred
fifteen golfers hit the links to
benefit Clay County residents with
scholarships to attend Iowa Lakes.

BANQUET HELD TO HONOR UPWARD BOUND

this year’s annual Upward Bound
Summer Banquet. The banquet was held
in the Smith Wellness Center on the
Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes
Community College on July 17.
Students were recognized for their
dedication to academic excellence
and their desire to earn a college
degree.
