AT GOLDEN, COLORADO
An Iowa Lakes Community College
student will participate in a
prestigious internship this summer.
Dan Rathe, from Dunkerton, a Wind
Energy and Turbine Technology
student, has accepted a 10-week
internship at the National Renewable
Energy Laboratory (NREL), in Golden,
Colorado.

Mary Steele, director of the
Northwest Iowa Retired & Senior
Volunteer Program (RSVP) has been
elected Vice President of the Board
of Directors for the National
Association of RSVP Directors. She
will serve with President Melodye
Kleinman of Santa Monica,
California. Steele and Kleinman were
installed at a recent meeting of the
NARSVPD in Washington DC.

Radtke has announced the signing of
Allie Renberg, Sleepy Eye, Minn., to
a National Junior College Letter of
Intent. Allie is a 6’2” post who
averaged 17 points, 9 rebounds, 2
blocks per game and shot 50% from
the field.

Iowa Lakes Head Women’s Basketball
Coach Brian Radtke announces the
signing of Brooke Oines, Sioux City,
IA, to a Junior College National
Letter of Intent. Brooke played
basketball at Lawton-Bronson High
School for Coach Kevin Mills. She is
6’1” and averaged 8.5 points, 5
rebounds, 2 steals per game and shot
67% from the free throw line. This
pass season Brooke was named to the
Maple Valley All-Conference and to
the IGHAU All-District Teams.
