STUDENTS PRESENT SPRING PERFORMANCES
Iowa Lakes Community College Music
students are getting ready for their
year end concerts. May 3, at 7:30
p.m., a concert will feature the
Iowa Lakes Concert Choir, the Men’s
Ensemble, the Jazz Choir, the
Women’s Ensemble, the Handbell
Ensemble and the Iowa Lakes Jazz
Band. This will be the Spring
Program at the Iowa Lakes Community
College Estherville Campus in the
gymnasium.

DEPARTMENT ANNUAL SPRING TOURS
The Iowa Lakes Music Department
students are “on the road”. This
year, the Iowa Lakes Concert Choir,
the Men’s Choir, the Jazz Choir, the
Handbell Ensemble and the Iowa Lakes
Jazz Band are on tour and performed
on April 14 for Sibley-Ocheyedan
High School. On April 15, they
performed for Estherville-Lincoln
Central High School and
Armstrong-Ringsted High Schools.

COLLEGE GOLFERS TO PLAY IN IOWA
LAKES INVITATIONAL
Iowa Lakes Community College will
play host to a coed golf
invitational this Friday at Brooks
Golf Course. The Lakers will host
seven colleges (Ellsworth, Iowa
Central, Kirkwood, NIACC,
Southwestern Iowa Western and Iowa
Lakes) on the men’s side; and five
colleges (DMACC, Ellsworth, Iowa
Central, Iowa Western, Southeastern
and Iowa Lakes) on the women’s side.

WHILEY SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT WITH
IOWA LAKES
Iowa Lakes Community College Head
Women’s Basketball Coach Brian
Radtke has announced the signing of
Danni Whiley, of Iowa Falls, IA, to
a National Junior College Letter of
Intent. Danni is a 5’11” wing who
averaged 7 points, 2 assists, and
shot 44% from the 3-point line this
past season. Danni helped her team
to a 21-3 season this year for Coach
Lynnette Fevold at Iowa Falls-Alden.

KATIE GEWERTH SIGNS AT IOWA LAKES
Iowa Lakes Community College Head
Women’s Basketball Coach Brian
Radtke has announced the signing of
Katie Gewerth, of Morgan, MN, to a
National Junior College Letter of
Intent. Katie is a 5’7” guard who
averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5
steals, and 3 assists per game. She
also shot 47% from the 3-point line.
For her career she scored 1010
points, 450 rebounds, 235 assists,
and 225 steals.

IOWA LAKES SIGNS MILBRANDT
Iowa Lakes Community College Head
Women’s Basketball Coach Brian
Radtke has announced the signing of
Kate Milbrandt of Elmore, MN, to a
National Junior College Letter of
Intent. Kate is a 5’4” point guard
who averaged 14 points, 3 rebounds,
5 assists and nearly 3.5 steals per
game and shot 54% from the field.
For her three year career she
averaged 8 points, 2.5 assists and 2
steals per game and shot 66% from
the free throw line for Coach Darrel
Peterson at Blue Earth High School.

direct result of the college’s “We
Believe In Us” Annual Giving Program
has been awarded for the 2005 spring
semester. Iowa Lakes’ employees,
community businesses and individuals
annually donate to the giving
program for the betterment of the
college and its students through
scholarships or improvement of
programs.

Resource Fair and Fun Night will be
held Tuesday, April 26th, 4:00 –
8:00 p.m. at the Estherville
Regional Wellness Center in
Estherville. There are many
activities and fun events planned
for the entire family with the theme
of “Keeping Kids Safe”.
