students traveled to Anaheim,
Calif., recently to attend the
National Association of the
Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
Annual Conference and Expo. Some
25,000 early childhood educators
attended the conference and
discussed ways to improve early
learning experiences for all
children from birth through third
grade.

been notified by Senator Tom Harkin
and Congressman Tom Latham that it
has received $500,000 for its wind
turbine program on the Estherville
Campus.

8th ANNUAL CHURCH CHOIR FESTIVAL
PLANNED
With Thanksgiving approaching, Iowa
Lakes Community College is planning
its 8th Annual Church Choir Festival
on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. This
year, the Festival will be held at
the United Methodist Church in
Estherville. Area residents are
invited to come and sing with a mass
“Festival Choir.” Each participating
church choir has the option of
performing one selection
individually as well as joining in
one mass choir for three festival
pieces.
