TRUSTEES SET
TUITION FOR NEXT YEAR AT IOWA LAKES
The
Board of Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College
met Tuesday afternoon and officially approved
tuition and fees for the next college year.

COLLEGE TO OFFER “COLLEGE FOR KIDS”
Again this summer, Iowa Lakes
Community College will offer
“College for Kids” for area students
entering grades 1-6 in the fall.
“College for Kids” will be held July
26 – July 30, 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
July 13 is the registration
deadline.

BLUM RECEIVES OUTSTANDING ALUMNI
AWARD
Alan Blum has received the Jim Hall
Outstanding Alumni Award from the
Iowa Lakes Community College Alumni
& Friends Association. In its 13th
year, the award is presented
annually to an alumnus who is
outstanding in community, business,
school, service clubs, etc. – a good
representative of the college.

IOWA LAKES INSTRUCTOR RECEIVES
STATEWIDE HONOR
An Iowa Lakes Community College
instructor has been honored with a
statewide award. Sally Bohmer, lead
instructor of the college’s Laker
Alternative High School in
Estherville, was given the
first-ever Hall of Fame Award at a
statewide meeting of alternative
education professionals.

College. Dr. Aileen Schacherer,
Spirit Lake Campus Director, has
served the college and its students
for more than a decade in her
current position.
