LEONARD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED
The Gene Leonard Memorial Scholarship is funded by a
trust to provide financial assistance to northwest Palo Alto
County and southwest Emmet County students planning to
attend Iowa Lakes Community College or any other college.

SURVEY TO DETERMINE INTEREST
IN POTENTIAL PROGRAMS
Following approval by
the Iowa Lakes Board of Trustees in January, the college is
trying to determine if students would be interested in any
of the following programs: Massage Therapist, Certified
Surgical First Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Respiratory
Therapist, Paramedic, Golf Course/Turf Grass Specialist or
Computer Forensics.

The Board of Trustees of Iowa
Lakes Community College held a public hearing for a new
Student Center on the Estherville Campus and voted to accept
the low bid of Christensen Construction of Estherville.

A free Career Expo for individuals interested in health
careers will be held Friday, Feb. 21 in Spencer. The day's
events are designed for students and adults who want to
pursue a health career. The variety of careers presented
will help clarify a career path for those who are undecided.

RECIPIENT OF THE MATT
HUNT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Matt Hunt Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by Pepsi
Americas of Estherville, was established in remembrance of
Matt, an Iowa Lakes alumni and baseball player who was
employed by Pepsi at the time of his death. This
scholarship is awarded annually to a second year baseball
player.

The Iowa Lakes Alumni & Friends Association is inviting
all fans and friends of Iowa Lakes to Fan Appreciation Night
on Wed., Feb. 26 at the Estherville Campus. Coffee, punch
and assorted treats will be served in the gymnasium lobby
following the men’s game.

Iowa Lakes Community College has announced the recipients of
the Helene Fuld Health Trust - HSBC Bank USA, Trustee
Nursing Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to
students enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing Program at
the Emmetsburg Campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.
