IOWA LAKES CROSS COUNTRY SIGNS DANE WEITZEL

Iowa Lakes Community College head cross country coach Molly Struve recently signed Dane Weitzel for the fall 2010 season.  Weitzel, who is currently a senior at Albert Lea High School, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, has a number of years of running experience. 

“Dane has participated in cross country for five years.  He is a very dedicated runner and I am looking forward to adding him to the team,” stated Laker Head Cross Country Coach Molly Struve.  “Our team is expanding every year and I believe he will be a good leader for the other runners.  He trains consistently over the summer months, which is crucial to being successful at the college level.   I am confident that he will be a solid addition to our team.”

The Laker Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams finished their 2009 season with a trip to the national meet in Peoria, Illinois on November 14th.
