IOWA LAKES TO HOST WRESTLING/BASKETBALL DOUBLEHEADER

Iowa Lakes Community College is hosting a wrestling and men’s basketball doubleheader tonight, February 3rd, at the Iowa Lakes gymnasium in Estherville.

The Laker Wrestling Program, under the direction of Ty Eustice, hosts North Iowa Area Community College at 6 p.m.  The Lakers are ranked 10th in the country at the NJCAA Division I level.  Tim Thurston is ranked first at 133 lbs., Victor DeJesus is ranked 10th at 149 lbs. and Josh Marsh is ranked 3rd at 197 lbs.  This is the last home dual for the Laker Wrestling Program.

The men’s basketball team, under the direction of Troy Larson, hosts Gustavus Adolphus at 8 p.m. following the wrestling meet. The Laker men are 13 – 6 on the season.  They are lead by preseason All Americans Robert Burns and Armon Boston.

Iowa Lakes Community College students and staff are admitted free of charge.  K – 12 students are also admitted for free.  There will be a $5 admission fee, which covers both the wrestling match and the men’s basketball game, for all others.
