BENSON NAMED TO PING ALL AMERICAN TEAM
Iowa Lakes freshman and former Jackson
County Central Prep Scott Benson was named
to the Ping NJCAA Division II All West
Region team for golf.
Benson led the Lakers to a 43-9 match record
and a 2nd place finish in the Region XI
tournament his freshman year and was an
overall individual medalist, which earned
him an individual berth in the 2009 NJCAA
National tournament. Benson was also ranked
#18 in the nation individually in the final
NJCAA Division II polls. He is the son of
Nate and Kelly Benson of Jackson, Minn.
