JONES WILL CONTINUE BASKETBALL CAREER AT
SOUTHWEST STATE UNIVERSITY
After playing two seasons for Iowa Lakes Community
College, Dalston Jones will continue his basketball
and academic career at NCAA Division II Southwest
State University in Marshall, Minn.
Jones, a 6’0” combo guard from Fenton, averaged 4
points, 3.5 rebounds, 3 assists and almost 2 steals
per game his sophomore season for the Lakers. He
helped Iowa Lakes to a 20 – 11 record and a 6-6
record in region play. Jones also started in 28 of
30 games for head coach Troy Larson this past season
and 44 of 58 the last two years for Iowa Lakes.
“We are excited about Dalston going to Southwest
State University,” said Coach Larson. “They are
coming off a great season in making it to the Elite
8. Coach Stemen coaches the right way and recruits
good kids who work hard. It should be a great fit
for Dalston.”
