BILL GEELAN COMMITS TO BRIAR CLIFF UNIVERSITY

After playing two seasons for Iowa Lakes Community College, Bill Geelan has decided to continue his basketball and academic career at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City.

Geelan, a 6’3” forward from Ruthven, averaged three points and two assists his sophomore season for the Lakers. He helped Iowa Lakes to a 21-10 overall record and a 9-5 record in regional play this season.

“Bill is a great teammate and Briar Cliff is where he wanted to be,” said Coach Troy Larson. “I’m pleased that he is able to play with his brother and be in a successful program.”

At Briar Cliff, Geelan will play for Coach Todd Barry and will look to make an impact in the Great Plains Athletic Conference in NAIA Division II.
