IOWA LAKES CROSS COUNTRY SIGNS ELC-AR RUNNER
The Iowa Lakes Community College cross country
team recently signed Jaimie Furnish for the fall
2008 season.
Furnish, who is senior at Estherville Lincoln
Central High School, has been a member of the
ELC-AR cross country team for the last two
years. She was part of the district champion
team and ran at the state cross country meet
this past season. Coach Molly Struve is looking
forward to having a local athlete join the team.
“I had the opportunity to watch Jaimie run a
number of times this fall during her cross
country season. She is a talented athlete and
has the ability to run at the college level.
Jaimie recently had surgery on her foot, which
will improve the quality of her running and help
eliminate some pain she was experiencing. She is
healing well from it and should be ready to
start training this spring. I am confident she
will make a great addition to our team,” said
Struve.
The Iowa Lakes cross country team will be
starting their 6th season this fall at the
NJCAA Division I level. To learn more about Iowa
