COLLEGE TRUSTEES APPROVE BID FOR
WRESTLING FACILITY
Newly-recruited wrestlers at Iowa Lakes
Community College will have a new facility
to practice in starting this fall.
In a special meeting Thursday morning, the
Board of Trustees of Iowa Lakes voted to
accept the low bid of $317, 300 from
Christensen Construction of Estherville.
The 45-foot by 123-foot facility will be
built on the east side of the Estherville
campus, just south of ‘The Max’ Student
Center. Construction is expected to begin
soon. The hope is to have the building
completed by Sept. 1.
Wrestling will debut at Iowa Lakes this fall
for the first official year of action. The
college also plans to start soccer
competition during the 2009-2010 college
year.
