IOWA LAKES FOUNDATION HOSTS CLAY COUNTY
GOLF OUTING
Golf enthusiasts are invited to attend the
Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation’s
Clay County Scholarship Golf Outing on
Friday, June 20. Registration begins at 11
a.m. with shotgun start at 12 p.m. A short
awards program will follow play with prizes
being distributed.
The event features an 18-hole outing at the
Spencer Municipal Golf Course. Participants
will be able to have lunch from 11 a.m. – 12
p.m. and take part in games, contests and
raffles throughout the afternoon to help
raise funds for scholarships for students
from Clay County.
“The support of our community in raising
scholarship funds has been so gratifying.
It’s a way of saying that we believe in our
students and that we are willing to invest
in their futures. In turn, the community
will benefit as our graduates become part of
the area’s workforce,”
said Kitty Conover, Spencer campus Dean.
Raffle tickets for a $3,000 travel voucher
redeemable at Four Seasons Travel are being
sold for $20 or 3 for $50. Tickets may be
purchased in advance at the Spencer
Municipal Golf Course or by calling Trish
Morfitt, Iowa Lakes Event Coordinator, at
800-242-5106 ext. 4425. Tickets will also
be sold during the event. The winner will
be drawn at the event; need not be present
to win.
