IWEA ELECTS NEW OFFICERS AT ANNUAL MEETING 

The Iowa Wind Energy Association Board of Directors held the IWEA annual meeting in the Iowa Lakes Community College Wind Energy and Turbine Technology Building Thursday, June 26.  Many of those who couldn’t attend joined the discussions via teleconference, including special guest Rural Development Under Secretary Tom Dorr.

The election of officers was the main point of order. Committee reports, marketing strategies and the newsletter were also discussed along with memberships, legislative news and financial status.  Iowa Lakes also agreed to remain the acting fiscal agent for IWEA through at least June 30, 2009.

The officers elected were:  Harold Prior, Ph. D., elected as President; Randy Van Dyke, elected as Vice President and Rob Hach, elected as Secretary/Treasurer.
