IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES NEW CROSS COUNTRY SCHOLARSHIP

Joe and Mary Larscheid and family of Estherville, have established the Larscheid Family Cross Country Scholarship at Iowa Lakes Community College. This scholarship will be open to students able to compete on the Iowa Lakes Cross Country team who will demonstrate commitment, dedication and enjoyment of the sport. Preference will be given to members of the ELCAR (Estherville Lincoln Central/Armstrong-Ringsted) cross country team who apply.

Eligible applicants may be freshmen or sophomore students who will be participating on the Iowa Lakes Cross Country team. They should have attained a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA while in high school and be able to maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA while at Iowa Lakes. This is not a need based scholarship. The recipient may use the award for tuition, books, fees, housing, etc. Any portion of the award not used during the fall 08 semester may be carried over to spring 09 semester.

Scholarship application deadline is April 1.
