Iowa Lakes Community College has announced the establishment of a new scholarship as a direct result of the college’s “We Believe In Us” Annual Giving Program.

Each year a drawing is held amongst Iowa Lakes’ employees who participate in the annual giving program. The selected employee sets criteria for a scholarship, which is then offered to students in the upcoming academic year. The employee selected to design this year’s scholarship is Peggy Wilson, Accounts Payable Processor at the Administration Building.

Wilson has named the scholarship “We Believe In Us” Wilson Family Scholarship. Eligible candidates must be planning to attend Iowa Lakes Community College full time in an agricultural program and be a resident of Emmet County. This scholarship will be awarded for the 2008 – 2009 academic year and will have an application deadline of April 1.
