IOWA LAKES JAZZ CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The first day of competition in the 34th
Annual Jazz Band Contest at Iowa Lakes Community College has
been completed. Winners from today (Tues., Jan. 15) are listed
below:
Class 1A:
1.
Southern Cal High School, Tom Plummer, Director
2.
Aurelia High School, Jason Heeren, Director
3.
Rockwell City Lytton, Colleen Hecht, Director
Wednesday will feature Class 3A and Class 4A
bands. On Thursday, Class 2A bands will compete.
The public is invited to attend any or all of
the activities. The schedule is posted on the Iowa Lakes
Community College website:
www.iowalakes.edu. All contests are in the Gymnasium on the
Estherville Campus. There is no admission charge. Carol Ayres,
Professor of Instrumental Music at Iowa Lakes is in charge of
the event.
Additional results will be available
Wednesday as well as Thursday.
