IOWA LAKES SOFTBALL TEAM RANKED IN PRESEASON POLL

The Laker women’s softball team is ranked #10 in the preseason poll released late last week.

This marks the fifth consecutive year that Iowa Lakes has appeared in the preseason National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II poll. The Laker women have been ranked as high as #3 in 2006 in this poll.

Iowa Lakes is one of three Region XI colleges to be ranked.

Iowa Lakes returns two All-Americans from last year’s team that went 38-19 and will open the 2008 season on Friday, March 6 at the Hastings College tournament in Hastings, Neb.
