AREA RESIDENTS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND EMPLOYMENT
AND INTERNSHIP FAIR
Area residents who are interested in job
openings in the region are encouraged to
participate in an upcoming job fair at Iowa
Lakes Community College. Three ‘Employment and
Internship Fairs’ will be held at Iowa Lakes in
early March.
This is an opportunity for area employers to
meet with students and other job seekers from
the community to explore employment
opportunities. Part-time and full-time
employment as well as internship possibilities
will be of interest to all attending.
A Nursing and Health Care Occupations Job Fair
will be held at the Emmetsburg campus on Mon.,
March 3 from 9 to noon. There will be 15 health
care employers represented. They will be hiring
for nursing positions and related health care
positions.
The Employment and Internship Fair for all other
careers will be held on the Emmetsburg campus on
Tues., March 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and on the
Estherville campus on Wed., March 5 from 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m. Some 30 area employers are expected
at both campuses.
In addition, on Wednesday, March 5, there will
be a Wind Energy Job Fair held at the Wind
Energy Building (9 a.m.-1 p.m.), with 12 wind
energy employers from across the country
attending. At 10 a.m. there will be an Employer
Panel, with the Wind Energy employers presenting
information on their companies to all interested
students and the public in the west classroom of
the Wind Energy Building.
