ASPIRES HOSTS ETIQUETTE DINNER FOR
IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS
ASPIRES recently hosted an “etiquette dinner” for students
to learn the rules of dining etiquette in a professional
setting.
The dinner was held on Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Estherville
campus. Upon sign up, students stipulated an area of career
interest. ASPIRES then invited area professionals to dine
with students, giving the students the opportunity to learn
more about their profession of interest.
The rules of etiquette were presented by Linda Wiegman,
Career Resource Center Coordinator. Wiegman highlighted the
rules of etiquette when dining at a professional level.
Place settings, use of silverware, passing condiments
correctly and beverage placement were discussed.
Dinner was served, with a menu of chicken noodle soup, salad
with dinner roll, chicken parmesan, and cheesecake. Students
were excited and grateful to have the opportunity to
