DATE SET FOR WIND ENERGY CONFERENCE;
SPONSORS SOUGHT
The date has been set for the 2009 Iowa
Wind Energy Association’s Second Annual
Meeting and Conference. Organizers will
host the conference on the Estherville
campus of Iowa Lakes Community College
Thursday, April 2.
The focus of this year’s conference is
borne out of the theme Wind Energy in
Iowa – Issues and Emerging Solutions.
The planners are expecting a large crowd
as more and more individuals become
involved in the wind industry – in
everything from land leasing; to site
managing; to construction equipment; to
builders; as well as energy companies.
This year, IWEA will offer conference
sponsorships. Those firms and
individuals who become sponsors with a
$500 donation will receive recognition
in conference materials and on the IWEA
Web site. In addition, a 10-foot wide
booth space will be available to wind
energy-related businesses and conference
attendees for a cost of $50. Those
interested in becoming a conference
sponsor are asked to contact Angie
DeJong at (712) 362-7931 or e-mail her
at
adejong@iowalakes.edu. The deadline
for conference sponsorships is Tuesday,
Jan. 27, 2009.
Information on conference registration
will be available by mid-February.
Those who would like to have their name
placed on the mailing list for
conference registration material may
contact Angie DeJong at the phone number
or e-mailed listed above.
Individuals who are interested in

Association may visit the Web site at
