IOWA LAKES FOUNDATION GOLF OUTING BENEFITS
PALO ALTO RESIDENTS
The Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation
held its annual golf outing on August 17 at the West Bend Golf &
Country Club. Sixty-three golfers hit the links to benefit Palo
Alto County residents with scholarships to attend Iowa Lakes.
Flight winners included – Flight 1: John
Brown, John Hand, Ruth Hand, Max Strube; Flight 2: Dave
Erickson, Kerry Frields, Nate Hudson, Nate Jensen; and Flight 3:
Steve Boedecker, Doug Jensen, Rich Higgins and Pat Schumacher.
The “high score” team of Baron Brinkman, Julie Olson, Don Pegum
Jr., and Heather Fickbohm received “Drown Your Sorrows” beverage
tickets.
Flag contest prizes were awarded to Nate
Hundt hole 1 (closest to sand without going in); Sam Behrens
hole 3 (closest to pin in 2); Max Strube hole 4 (closest to pin
in 1); Ruth Hand hole 5 (longest drive-women); Blake Banwart
hole 6 (longest putt-men); Heather Fickbohm hole 7 (longest
putt-women); James Hansen hole 9 (longest drive-men).
Raffle winners of the Iowa Get-A-Ways were
Bridget Bailey and Steve Heldt.
“We cannot begin to express our appreciation
to the many golfers, donors and sponsors of this event,” stated
Tom Brotherton, Emmetsburg Campus Executive Dean. “Funds from
this annual event help many Palo Alto County students attain
their dream of a higher education at Iowa Lakes Community
College.”
