IOWA LAKES
STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM RENEWABLE ENERGY SCHOLARSHIP
Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the
Iowa State Bank Renewable Energy Scholarship for the 2007-08
college year to Alexander Ascherl of O’Neill, Neb., and Riley
Montgomery of Estherville.
Iowa State Bank of Algona established this
scholarship in 2007 as a direct result of the Iowa Lakes
President’s Circle giving initiative. Upon joining the Circle,
they wished to utilize their gift to support students enrolled
in renewable energy programs at the college.
Eligible candidates for this scholarship must
be enrolled full time in the Wind Energy & Turbine Technology
program or the Biomass Energy Processing program at Iowa Lakes,
and have achieved and continue to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
