CHRISTENSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS NAMED

Six Iowa Lakes Community College Environmental Studies students will benefit from the Clyde & Frances Christensen Memorial Scholarship during the 2007-08 college year. Recipients are Andrew Cartmill of Logan, Darin Clabaugh of Estherville, Anand Hase of Alta, James Johnston of Coon Rapids, Sarah Subbert of Graettinger and Jeremy Wickman of Emmetsburg.

Long-time Iowa Department of Natural Resources employee, Clyde Christensen established this scholarship in memory of his late wife, Frances, prior to his death in 2002. Frances graduated from Estherville Junior College (now known as Iowa Lakes Community College) with a degree in teaching and later taught 5th grade.

Applicants must be in good academic standing and enrolled full time in the Environmental Studies program at Iowa Lakes Community College.
