ALLBAUGH SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT ANNOUNCED

Iowa Lakes Community College has named the Mary and Gene Allbaugh Memorial Scholarship recipient for the 2007-08 academic year.

The Allbaughs were very involved citizens and business persons of Emmetsburg where they established and ran the radio station. They were also instrumental in bringing cable television to Emmetsburg. The Allbaugh children, Suzanne, John and Kathy, established this scholarship in memory of their parents to reinvest in the education of citizens served by Iowa Lakes Community College. Qualified applicants must be enrolled at any Iowa Lakes location as a full-time student and possess and maintain a GPA in good standing.

This year’s recipient is Avis Dumdei of Estherville.
