PATTEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT NAMED

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the Lonnie Patten Memorial Scholarship to Laura Christians of Fairmont, Minn.

This endowed scholarship was established by family, friends and Iowa Lakes employees in memory of Lonni Patten. Patten was a caring and dedicated Iowa Lakes Child Care and Early Childhood Education program student until the time of her death. Those who knew her were impressed by her love of children and determination to complete her education.

Eligible candidates are traditional or nontraditional students with a minimum 2.5 GPA enrolled in the Child Care and/or the Early Childhood Education program at Iowa Lakes Community College. Students must also display financial need.
