IOWA LAKES MEN’S BASKETBALL RANKED #14 IN
NATION
Iowa Lakes Community College Men’s Basketball team is ranked
14th in the NJCAA Division II men’s basketball poll as of
November 20, 2007. It is the first such ranking for the Men’s
basketball team this year.
Iowa Lakes is off to a 4-2 start with a 1-0 Region XI record.
The two losses have been by a combined 11 points to Division I
schools Marshalltown and Northeastern. Iowa Lakes either had the
lead or was tied within the last two minutes of both games.
“Although preseason and early season rankings don’t win us
games, it is a good acknowledgment for our program. Our guys
have worked hard and we want to always stay in the national
rankings” said Head Men’s Basketball Coach Troy Larson.
The Lakers are off for the Thanksgiving holiday and return to
action Tuesday, November 27th for a 7:30 homecoming tipoff
against Sioux Falls JV in Estherville.
